Our Story
John Erik Minerva
Erik was born in Iloilo, Philippines, and spent much of his childhood moving between Iloilo and Manila due to his parents' work. From a young age, he was fascinated by airplanes, often accompanied by his father at the airport to watch them take off and land. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong passion for aviation, which he eventually turned into a career.
Shiela Mae Tan
Shiela was born and raised in Manila, Philippines, alongside her older sister and younger brother. She has always had a love for art, photography, and video games—interests that she and Erik still happily share today. In 2019, she moved to Canada to pursue her studies and build a new chapter of her life.
How They Met (and Re-Met)
Erik and Shiela first met as seatmates in Grade 4, where they spent countless hours playing chess and talking about video games. After graduating from elementary school, they lost touch as life took them in different directions—Erik moved to Canada while Shiela remained in the Philippines until 2019. Eighteen years later, they reconnected, and after three years of dating, decided to spend the rest of their lives together.

With so many wonderful places to stay in Boracay, we encourage you to choose the accommodation that best fits your needs. Guests may book with one of our recommended partner hotels or arrange their own preferred lodging on the island.

The wedding ceremony will be held outdoors at the The Lind’s Infinity Pebbled area. The reception will be held indoors at the Ballroom.
Alternative plans are also in place in case it rains, so there is no need to bring an umbrella. But please, please, please pray for good weather!

We encourage you to plan your arrival with ample time to enjoy the beauty of the island and the wedding festivities. Arriving a day or two early will ensure you're well-rested and ready to celebrate with us.

The bride and groom will be in touch with you. Please plan to spend half a day on Thursday, Feb 18, at the wedding venue for pictures and rehearsals.

We've chosen to have an intimate wedding with our closest family and friends. Due to venue capacity, we're unfortunately unable to invite everyone we'd love to celebrate with. We truly appreciate your understanding and feel incredibly grateful for your love, support, and well wishes. If a plus one has been reserved for you, it will be noted on your invitation.
